MIDLIFE [BRICS]-19, Friday, February 09, 2024 – “Crouching [BRICS], Hidden Dragon.”
At 02:07:19, The Tucker Carlson Interview (1.), although I am a "fan" of Tucker Carlson – I reasonably like his interview style – Vladimir Putin outclassed him in this interview. Tucker came across as a bit arrogant, overly playful, and ultimately shortsighted, as he may have missed the big picture while in the moment (BRICS implications). Putin did not miss a beat, was laser focused, and is one smart, educated, well-read, individual.
The "BRICS" reality and inferences, decline of "the West" – the United States specifically – and the broader, "The Motherland Calls" theme, are the most significant takeaways, although there are many insights to be taken from the interview. Putin covered a lot of historic ground, in order to bring current affairs into clear context.
Regarding the "war" in Ukraine, unwinnable for the West, although not likely the goal, in my opinion ... and I stayed up way too late.
