Schools no more, let the litigation begin.
Watching this interview, I am reminded of volunteering and doing consulting work for a Houston-based anti-human trafficking organization, and something that I learned about human trafficker-predator tactics.
Like sexual predators, trafficker-predators surf social media profiles looking for young people who appear vulnerable. The trafficker-predator will attempt to befriend children when they are minors, develop a relationship through faux praise and gifts, often without the act of overt abuse, until the child reaches the age of majority. There is also an attempt to estrange the child from her or his parents by coaching the child that parental efforts are "bad," while the predator offers an alternative, something "good." Once the child reaches the age of majority, the trafficker-predator lures the child away from home, and into their possession where the abuse begins. Now that the child is no longer a minor, the child is coached by the trafficker-predator to ghost her or his parents, while legally the parents no longer have parental authority over the child to respond.
