MIDLIFE MINI-19, Friday, October 19, 2023 – You Can Fly a Stiff to War.
“WASHINGTON ― Mocked as old, feeble and bumbling by Republicans, Democratic President Joe Biden has now visited two active war zones in eight months ― two more than all the previous presidents combined” (1.).
You can count on Democrats and their lapdog media to attempt spin Biden being so weak and compromised that two (2) wars have broken out on his watch in which he is grossly complicit. The HuffPost makes it out to be an achievement. It is certainly a head-spinning redirection of incompetence.
Watch how this time warp plays out.
“Biden was headed back to the White House late Wednesday following a 30-hour round-trip journey to Israel where, with militants’ rockets still flying, he met with political leaders as well as victims of the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas that killed 1,300 Israelis. It had been only eight months since Biden’s day-long visit to Ukraine as that nation was under attack from Russian missiles” (1.).
Side-note: “journey” is the same romance dribble used throughout The Bachelor franchise.
The estimated travel time from Washington, D.C., to Tel Aviv is approximately twelve (12) hours and nineteen (19) minutes, so roundtrip … wait for it, wait for it … less than six (6) hours (2.) in country. Notice the two (2) references to missiles in that short paragraph, “rockets still flying,” and, “only eight months since Biden’s day-long visit to Ukraine as that nation was under attack from Russian missiles”?
“In contrast [to dogging former President Trump for the previous several paragraphs], Biden has now gone to Kiev when it was under constant threat of Russian missile attack, and to Tel Aviv as militant groups in the Gaza Strip fired rockets at Israeli cities. (Israeli airstrikes in Gaza were not endangering Biden.)” (1.).
Did you see that contradiction of journalistic gymnastics? Glorify the risk, then disclaim that there was no risk that, “Israeli airstrikes in Gaza were not endangering Biden.” Mind you, this paragraph is buried deep in the reference. This story is about the headline, and the photo, not much else.
The trip is about the equivalent of Chinese state media wanting you to be impressed with Chairman Xi Jinping traveling from Beijing to Shanghai, and back. Like with BLM in the U.S., Biden is complicit with State-sponsors of terror in the Middle East, so this is no feat. It is a blatant display of political propaganda, taxpayer dollars the likes of a misappropriated campaign contribution.
In the following paragraph, big-money donors deliver on that fact.
“’Commander-in-chief moments like this is where Biden is at his best,’ said Steve Schale, a longtime Democratic consultant in Florida who works with a pro-Biden super PAC. ‘I believe moments like this are important to lean into when laying out the choice in 2024’” (1.).
Side-note: If you are going to pursue journalist excellence, have a pro-Biden super PAC member at the ready for propaganda interviews.

So what do Republicans in Name Only (RINOs) have to say? Oh look, we conveniently have one right here.
“Sarah Longwell, a Republican consultant who turned against the party after it nominated Donald Trump in 2016, said the trips will help alleviate voters’ concerns about Biden’s age, particularly if Trump winds up the nominee again in 2024.
“’I think any time Joe Biden actively demonstrates a steady hand and strong leadership in moments of crisis, it ameliorates some of the worst fears about his age,’ she said. ‘That doesn’t mean people will stop thinking he’s too old for the job, but it gives swing voters confidence that he’s still very much preferable to Trump’” (1.).
Remember, he boarded a flight wearing special shoes to help keep him from tripping, disembarked, then later reboarded, noted as, “strong leadership moments of crisis” … cough, cough.
All of that said, we must give credit to the HuffPost correspondent who went on to report some unfavorable perspectives, actual journalism, albeit at the tail end of the propaganda piece, it was there. Unfortunately, that whiff of journalism quickly evaporated with several Trump smears, including the following falsity.
“Onetime Republican National Committee spokesperson Tim Miller said Biden’s visit will provide an effective contrast with Trump, should the coup-attempting former president maintain his polling lead and wind up as the 2024 GOP nominee ― especially after Trump praised the terror group Hezbollah as ‘really smart’” (1.).
One, there was no coup attempt, and two, Trump did not praise Hezbollah. These are grossly inaccurate statements, lack context, but do demonstrate the lack of credibility of the interviewee. But hey, that is just dishonesty, let us get back to the election.
“It’s a contrast the Biden campaign ― which previously produced and aired an ad spotlighting his Ukraine trip ― hopes will resonate” (1.).
And there it is, the big reveal. The campaign needed “war” footage for another campaign ad.
In keeping with the Democrat Party mantra, “Don’t let a crisis go to waste,” we are presented with the following money tell.
“’There’s a very clear split screen going on between a slate of candidates playing politics with a terrorist attack, and a president who is leading with empathy, experience, and real action in the wake of an unspeakable tragedy,’ the campaign said in a statement. ‘For the MAGA candidates, this is a political opportunity; for Joe Biden, it’s about being the commander-in-chief’” (1.).
Summary, do you want to know why Biden – the BLM and Hamas sympathizer who enabled Iran in funding Hamas – was likely in on this conveniently timed terrorist attack on Israel? To change the pre-election narrative, to, “redefine the two parties’ identities in that area.” Enter, a U.S. State-sponsored crisis.
“With many Republicans arguing against supporting Ukraine, Biden’s leadership during both foreign policy crises could redefine the two major parties’ identities in that area, said Stuart Stevens, a Republican consultant who worked on the presidential campaigns of Bob Dole, George W. Bush and Mitt Romney [all Monolith Party RINOs].
“’Biden is acting like a strong foreign policy president. Dems once had that image but lost it,’ Stevens said. ‘If Biden helps regain it, there are major ramifications’” (1.).
Like Weekend at Bernie’s, you can put lipstick on a dark comedy pig, and make a stiff look like a faux hero in a headline. That is your Monolith State party, the U.S. Democrat Party.

Also from HuffPost, same day, published nineteen (19) minutes apart, but by different correspondents?
“Veteran State Department official Josh Paul resigned from the agency on Tuesday over President Joe Biden’s approach to Israel-Palestine, telling HuffPost he felt he had to do so because it was clear he could not push for a more humane policy within the U.S. government” (3.).
Not surprisingly, the reporting is thin, hyper-neutral, watered down, leaving the reader wanting more because it is relevant, but reported with such a benign delivery.
“’I have had my fair share of debates and discussions and efforts to shift policy on controversial arms sales,’ said Paul, who spent more than 11 years at State’s bureau of political-military affairs, which tackles weapons deals. He most recently served as the bureau’s director of congressional and public affairs.
“’It was clear that there’s no arguing with this one. Given that I couldn’t shift anything, I resigned,’ he told HuffPost on Wednesday evening in his first media interview since he revealed his decision, which he also described in a LinkedIn post’” (3.).
This is very crafty reporting, because the correspondent offered a link to his LinkedIn post, but vaguely reported as to the why. Since it is unfavorable to Biden and his Administration, the proverbial “Why,” customarily fundamental in journalism, was punted to a link.
Let us take a look at Reference (4.), and we will offer the Cliff Notes version.
Note that Josh Paul, by his own account in his LinkedIn post, is a U.S. arms dealer.
“In my role in PM [the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs], however, my responsibilities lie solidly in the arms transfer space,” Paul noted (4.).
Paul goes on to explain the current state of the Democrat Party is to tow the Progressive narrative, as long as it is convenient, then when it is not, transfer arms counter to the narrative – the why.
“And that is why I have resigned from the U.S. Government, and from PM: because while I can, and have, worked hard to shape better policy making in the security assistance field, I cannot work in support of a set of major policy decisions, including rushing more arms to one side of the conflict, that I believe to be shortsighted, destructive, unjust, and contradictory to the very values that we publicly espouse, and which I wholeheartedly endorse: a world built around a rules-based order, a world that advances both equality and equity, and a world whose arc of history bends toward the promise of liberty, and of justice, for all” (4.).
Note that everywhere he says things like, “shape better policy,” in practice he means, transfer lethal arms to those who kill people in order to, “shape better policy.” I do like his comma use though, impressive.
Please make sure that you read his full two-page letter for full context – see Reference (4.).
So on that note, I think that we are now full circle. While Mr. Paul may not be involved in this transfer of lethal arms to those who will kill people to shape better policy, the Biden campaign will certainly seize the moment and make a campaign ad of it, albeit on backs of dead people.

Grip and grin Mr. President, your lipstick looks marvelous. We leave for the airport shortly; we have the reel.
Oh, and Mr. Paul, rest assured, the arms are enroute. Where they will end up, we have no idea.

You can fly a stiff to war.
