MIDLIFE CRISIS-19, October 20, 2024 – [A Void in Reporting] Is Bliss.
Thirty-one (31) paragraphs, most of which is extensive reporting on the details of war: the fighting, the cities, the leadership, their names, the weaponry, the casualties. It is the most detailed reporting on any war I have read in recent years.
Excerpt, regarding Israel's September push into southern Lebanon:
"Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency said an Israeli airstrike on an apartment in eastern Baaloul village killed five people, including the mayor of nearby Sohmor village. An Israeli military official confirmed that the IDF struck targets in the Bekaa Valley.
"Lebanon’s health ministry said an Israeli airstrike hit a vehicle on a highway north of Beirut, killing two people. Israel also said it killed Hezbollah’s deputy commander in the southern town of Bint Jbeil. The army said Nasser Rashid supervised attacks against Israel" (1.).
Those are intimate and finite details of war.

Ukraine? Notta.
Drones? No drones for Putin.
Billions in U.S. aid, but no details on the fighting, no daily reporting, only Zelenskyy and his large-scale social media grifting for funds. I am not saying war in Ukraine is not happening, but where is the reporting? Why the comparative silence; why the void?
I would posit that the war in Ukraine serves a broader global end - at the expense of Ukraine - like Russia's part in China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI, 2.), for example. In contrast, Israel - the Israeli' fight, and that they are the beacon of Western civilization and freedom in the Middle East - stands in the way.
Summary: The [State] media puts attention on those things where the consensus is, that the "thing" should end, and or where those things are intended to be promoted. Regarding the war in Ukraine, there is neither - except the funding.
With intention, Russia will prevail, but of course, that outcome is without media fanfare.
Note to Self: If you were clearing a field with a bulldozer, but you did not want anyone to know it, you would not film it. It would be too obvious.
