Note to Self: Yahoo! ended commenting, yet there are no comments.

I cannot help but wonder, what if a doctor wanted to comment?

It appears that the reporter, and the "experts," are a little confused.

- "But when should you get the new COVID-19 shot? It turns out, that timing does matter" (1.).

- "Just like the timing of your flu shot, infectious disease specialists say it’s important to get the updated COVID-19 vaccine at the right time" (1.).

- "The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) currently recommends everyone six months and older get the updated COVID-19 vaccine" (1.).

- "The CDC doesn’t get into details about when to get vaccinated, other than to say that you can delay your shot for three months if you just had the virus" (1.).

- "I recommend that if people are going to get the updated COVID vaccine, especially those that are high risk, that they get it now" (1.).

- "But, if you’re not immunocompromised, Dr. Schaffner says you’re OK to get your shot in October, if you can wait" (1.).

- "The longer you can wait, the longer your protection will last through the winter" (1.).

- "October is an excellent time to get both the COVID and influenza vaccine" (1.).

- "I tell people who will be traveling to get the vaccine beforehand" (1.).

- "But for most of us, waiting and getting the vaccine in a reasonable time frame is fine" (1.).

- "Dr. Sellick says that 'there isn’t an absolute [best] time' to get the vaccine, but recommends getting it when you can" (1.).

- "'If you have a doctor’s visit scheduled next week, get the vaccine,' he says. 'It’s the perfect time to get caught up'" (1.).

- "It’s just important to get it" (1.).

- "We should all get vaccinated, not only for our personal benefit but for our families and those around us" (1.).

- "All of us should be doing this together" (1.).

"Limit of liability," comes to mind.

Most notable in that propaganda puff piece, "The CDC doesn’t get into details about when to get vaccinated" (1.).

Would not want to be too bothered by those nasty details about human health, now would we?

Yet the CDC should be the entity centralizing advice - regardless of an individual's public opinion on the subject - but by decentralizing information, the CDC limits the liability of anyone big enough to be productively sued.

Ultimately, if you cannot be honest about from where the global pandemic came, its origins, why would anyone trust your alleged solutions?
