MIDLIFE CRISIS-19, Wednesday, October 11, 2023 – Hamas Taking the Heads of Babies, a Legitimate Warning.
We should not have to worry, but we are caused to if we understand the threat. Open U.S. borders only make the threat from Hamas more plausible, while the taking of the heads of babies lets us know with whom we are dealing.
Take exceptional note of Khalid Mashal’s reference to borders, and his calls to “try to enter” (1., 2.).
Having read Tim Pool’s @Timcast post this morning on X (formally Twitter) where he shared Reference (1.), I am caused to take the following threat in grave context as wholly legitimate.
“A leader and founding member of Hamas, Khalid Mashal, reportedly called for a global Jihad on Tuesday, asking Muslims around the world to target the people of Israel on Friday, Oct. 13” (1.).
From my basic military terrorism/counter-terrorism training, the goal of terrorism is to instill fear, change behaviors, and achieve political ends. Considering the recent and horrific events by Hamas in Israel, and considering his stature with Hamas, the statement is enough to warrant responsiveness. It is plausible that some radical will at minimum take to the streets somewhere on the planet and wave a flag, again, at minimum. The alternative, is that some radical will take this calling to the extreme. Due to that possibility, people should at minimum be mindful, and alternatively, be prepared – responsive.

Who is Khalid Mashal, and what makes his voice a credible one?
“Mashal became the Hamas leader after it was established in 1987 and chief of its political bureau, which he founded in 1992. He led Hamas until 2017 at the end of his term limit and in 2021 was elected head of the Islamic terrorist group's Diaspora Office” (2.).
So, he is clearly a credible source from whom such a call to action could come.
What is the predicate of alarm? Well, it is the acts, they are clear acts of disregard for human life in some of the vilest examples.
The stage:
“Hamas militants bombarded Israeli towns near Gaza with thousands of rockets and attacked with soldiers on the ground Saturday morning, prompting Israeli President Isaac Herzog to declare war. Since the invasion, there has been escalating violence with thousands dead in Israel and Palestine” (2.).
The acts:
“On Saturday morning [October 07, 2023], Hamas-led forces poured over the Israel-Gaza border while residents were sleeping, dragging people into the streets, taking some hostage while beheading and killing others. More than 700 Israelis, including men, women, children and the elderly, were indiscriminately killed in one day — the largest terror attack in a single day in Israel’s history” (3.).
What was found in the aftermath?
“’Many soldiers were called up for reserve service and could be seen actively consoling each other after what they had to witness. They arrived expecting the worst, but the scenes are beyond anything that one could imagine. Some soldiers say they found babies with their heads cut off, entire families gunned down in their beds. About 40 babies and young children have been taken out on gurneys — so far,’ i24News reported” (3.).
Separate from an Israeli war declaration against Hamas, where does that leave us here in the U.S.? Grossly exposed.
“According to a translation and analysis of the video by author Brother Rachid, Mashal referred to his proposed day of anger as ‘the Friday of Al-Aqsa flood,’ which will ‘send a message of rage to Zionists and to America.’
“’The most important thing: He asked all Muslims around the world to carry Jihad by their souls; to fight and be martyrs for Al-Aqsa. He wants Muslims to fight against the Jews, starting with Muslims who live in the countries surrounding Israel: Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt (but also other countries), to go to the borders and try to enter, each by his own means,’ Rachid explained. ‘He said: This is the time for Jihad to be applied on the ground rather than just in theory. He asked the Mujahedeen to go in long caravans to spell their blood on the land of Palestine’” (1.).
Mashal was even more specific, he made four (4) points, instructing that Muslims take four (4) explicit actions.
“Mashal asked Muslims to fulfill the following four criteria at midday on October 13, according to a translation from Rachid Hammami (Brother Rachid on Twitter ("X")) who is a Moroccan former Muslim television host and national security expert.
“As translated by Hammami, Mashal called Hamas militants to attacks around the world targetting [sic] Israelis and Americans during the Muslim weekly prayer, Jumu’ah Prayer.
“He said Friday will be a day for Muslims to ‘show anger’ toward Zionists and America. He called for militants in Muslim countries and ‘also among Muslim diaspora around the world’ to participate in ‘The Friday of Al-Aqsa flood.’
“Secondly, he asked for ‘Financial Jihad,’ asking for financial support from Muslims around the world ‘to give to the fighters of Gaza in order to compensate them for the destruction.’
“Thirdly, he called for Muslims to apply ‘political pressure’ to ‘stop Israel’s military invasion of Gaza.’
“Finally, he called for Muslims worldwide to ‘carry Jihad by their souls’ and ‘to fight and be martyrs for Al-Aqsa’” (2.).
Mashal’s words are like that of what a World War II Japanese Kamikaze commander might have said.
“These are his final words: Funds are important but today we are asking for your blood and souls [to be sacrificed for Palestine]” (2.).

Radical Muslims share the Kamikaze spirit, but without the humanity.
“The name, Kamikaze, means Heavenly, or Divine, Wind. The name was resurrected from Japanese history stemming from the 16th Century tale of a Mongol emperor whose fleet was sunk or turned by "the gods" who sent a heavenly wind.
“In addition to the suicide tactic, the planes were sometimes loaded with bombs and extra gasoline tanks before flown into their targets. The pilots were also young men who offered themselves as volunteers for their mission. The pilots performed a special ceremony of drinking sake and eating rice before flying. They were also given medals and a Katana sword during these cerremonies [sic]. The pilots also carried beloved possessions to be treasured upon death” (4.).
